John Arnold, DVM
Dr. John Arnold was born in Seal Beach California and has practiced as a veterinarian in Nevada, California, Oregon, and Colorado. John is a proud CSU Ram, he attended Colorado State University for his BS in Zoology, MBA, and DVM. While attending the CSU School of Veterinary Medicine he met his future wife who is now a Board Certified Veterinary Surgeon and Surgical Oncology Fellow. Both Dr. Arnold and his wife graduated with the class of 2006. John's proudest accomplishment is being a father to his daughter Rylee Rose, who was born in May of 2015 and is quickly turning out to be an avid rock climber and hiker like her dad. In addition to enjoying rock climbing and hiking with his family and border collie mix, Lucy, he also enjoys playing ice hockey, soccer, and traveling. Dr. Arnold first joined the Raintree family in 2008 and in addition to practicing traditional veterinary medicine is also AAVMA Certified in Veterinary Acupuncture. Some of his professional interests include cancer management, pain management, surgery, anesthesia, dermatology, and strengthening the human-animal bond. You may see John climbing or biking around Horsetooth or up Poudre Canyon... or enjoying his favorite meal (Brunch) with his daughter downtown. John is still actively involved at CSU. He serves on the Curriculum Committee for the CSU Doctor of Veterinary Medicine program. You may see him on campus giving presentations to the Pre-vet club or meeting with graduate students on what life is like as a practicing veterinarian. John also started a mentoring program at Raintree that gives future veterinarians an idea of what life is like at the hospital.
Debra Q. Holmes, DVM
Dr. Debra Holmes grew up in Tucson, Arizona, and as a young child, she had a clear vision that she was going to be a veterinarian. She obtained her Bachelor's of Science degree in Pre-Veterinary Studies from the University of Arizona. Dr. Holmes earned her DVM degree in 1997 from Colorado State University. Her career includes many years of owning a small animal practice in Ft. Collins, as well as working in emergency medicine. In 2004 she earned her Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture. Her special areas of interest include acupuncture, internal medicine and dermatology. When not helping pets and their people in need, she enjoys spending time with her two children. She is an avid reader of fiction, and loves cooking, listening to music, and running. She also admits to enjoying her fair share of popcorn and Cherry Coke at the movie theater!
Nina Garbino, DVM
Dr. Nina Garbino was born in Huntington Beach, California. After realizing that she could not live as a pirate on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Disneyland at the age of five, she decided she would become a veterinarian. Luckily, her family moved to Fort Collins, Colorado, when she was six years old, where one of the best veterinary schools in the country is located. She obtained her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and DVM degree at Colorado State. After graduation, she completed an intensive rotating small animal medicine and surgery internship at Alameda East in Denver. Upon completion of her internship, she moved back to Northern Colorado and worked at Four Seasons Veterinary Specialists as an ER doctor. She was then given the wonderful opportunity to join the Raintree family which she enthusiastically accepted. Nina loves emergency and critical care medicine. Her career interests include oncology, internal medicine, nutrition, and neurology. She is planning on becoming certified in veterinary acupuncture, and exploring alternative therapies for pets such as Eastern Medicine and herbology. In her free time, Nina enjoys being with her husband, Ryan, and enjoying the outdoors here in Colorado. Hiking, biking, snowshoeing, traveling, and enjoying Colorado’s craft breweries are some of their favorite pastimes. Nina and Ryan are owned by two grumpy old cats, Oy and Fry, and a one-eyed kitten named Noodle (aka. Turd) who alternates between being the best kitten ever and terrorizing everyone in the house.
Susan
Susan was born and raised in the northwest suburb of Chicago. In the summer of ’97 she moved to the wonderful state of Colorado to attend Colorado State University. In 2001, she graduated with a BS in Wildlife Biology. Susan wanted to broaden her animal education, so she completed the Veterinary Technician Program at Front Range Community College and in 2004 become a certified veterinary technician. Since then she has had the pleasure of working at Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital in various small animal services, such as, Community Practice, Internal Medicine, and Dentistry and Oral Surgery. In July 2013, she joined the RAH team as practice manager. Outside of work Susan stays busy with her husband, 2 young boys, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and bird. She loves to dabble with photography, gardening, and enjoys every opportunity she gets going to the mountains.
Natalie
Natalie was born and raised in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. After graduating high school in 2002 she moved to Fort Collins to attend Colorado State University. She graduated in 2007 with a double major in Biology and Zoology and later joined the RAH team in October 2008. In her spare time she loves to read, study the bible, and hang out with her friends and roommates. Her hopes are to one day be a wife and mother and to learn to love God more with each day she is given.
Crystal
Crystal was born and raised here in Fort Collins. After a three-year disappearance to Denver, she is back and going to school studying dog biology and behavior. Along with being a veterinary technician, Crystal also helps with the kennels. In her free time, she enjoys outdoor activities with her two crazy australian cattle dogs and being with her friends.
Sarah
Sarah was born and raised in Denver Colorado. She moved to Fort Collins in 2000 to attend Colorado State University. In 2005 she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biology and in Animal Sciences. She joined the Raintree staff in January 2006. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband Ryan and sons Brendan and Ryder. She also enjoys sewing, reading, playing music, hiking, and 4-wheeling in the mountains. She has an Italian greyhound named Gracie.
Jaime
Jaime graduated from Front Range Community College in 2012 with a Veterinary Tech Assistant Certificate and loves working here at Raintree Animal Hospital. Aside from helping clients and loving on the patients, Jaime truly enjoys obsessively cleaning everything and unpacking the weekly order. Outside of work, you'll find Jaime hanging out with her family and friends, singing in the car, or taking a little mid-day snooze on the couch. She shares her house with her sister Jessie, three dogs (Princess Adelaide Victoria Peach III, Louie, and Dylan), two cats (Bella and Buttonlicious), and two rats (Beethoven and Socrates).
Meghan
Meghan was born in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Boulder, Colorado when she was 10 years old. In 2012 she graduated from Colorado State University with a BS in Zoology. Shortly after graduation, she spent some time at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah and discovered she had an interest in becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician. She graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Front Range Community College in May 2015. Aside from work, Meghan enjoys playing soccer, traveling, camping, hiking, snowboarding, reading, photography, kayaking and discovering new breweries. Meghan has a cat named Zsa or Mr. Z and one day hopes to travel to Thailand to work with elephants. Meghan has a strong passion for all animals and well-being.
Ashley
Ashley was born in Sheridan, WY and moved to Colorado in 2014 to attend Colorado State University. She lives with her boyfriend, Trey, and their two dogs, Edie and Joey. She has worked in animal hospitals for the past four years and enjoys learning about Veterinary Medicine through the opportunity of internships. In her spare time Ashley also enjoys helping out with rescues, especially the ones that save reservation dogs in Montana and Wyoming, where both of her dogs were rescued and rehabilitated.
Brooke
Brooke was born and raised in Ames, Iowa. She moved to Fort Collins with her boyfriend Ben, their two dogs, and one cat two years ago to be close to the mountains. She is currently going to school for a BS in zoology and hopes to work at a national park. In her spare time she enjoys being outside hiking and swimming with her two corgis. She also enjoys biking and rock climbing.
Kelsey
Kelsey moved to Colorado from Missouri in 2001 and has called it home ever since. After graduating from CU Boulder with a major in Cultural Anthropology and a minor in Conflict Management in 2012, she and her husband have settled in Fort Collins and enjoy everything the area has to offer including hiking, camping, biking, and spending time outdoors. They are proud parents to a sweet pup named Andie and a lovable cat named Remus who happily run the household. With a passion for animals and an appreciation for local businesses, Kelsey is proud to work for Raintree Animal Hospital and is working towards returning to CSU for a large animal veterinary degree in the next couple years.
Michelle
Michelle was born and raised in Las Vegas, NV but quickly felt that Colorado was home. She received two Bachelors of Science from Colorado State University in 2010, and completed the Veterinary Technology program through Front Range Community College in May of 2018. Michelle’s passionate about clinical pathology, anesthesia and analgesia. Outside of work, Michelle can be found hiking, kayaking, reading, knitting (a lot), and relaxing at home with her husband and two dogs.
Morgan
Morgan just moved to Colorado from New Jersey/New York aspiring to be a certified veterinarian technician and is currently in school to complete this goal. Surrounded by all types of animals growing up and having a father who owns a veterinary hospital she always knew this was her dream career. Morgan loves every kind of animal, but has a special place in her heart for Chihuahuas due to owning her own named Pepito, and a betta fish, Huahua, both of which are spoiled! In her free time she loves to babysit, read, hike and enjoy everything Colorado has to offer!
Madison
Madison was born and raised in Colorado Springs as the middle child of six siblings and embraces her God-given passion for animals. She has worked and lived with animals most of her life, and pursued a degree in Zoology at CSU. Upon graduation with a BS in 2015, she set out to help build a private zoo in Golden where she was also responsible for providing the general husbandry for the exotic critters inhabiting it. She moved back to Fort Collins in 2017 to marry her husband, Colton, and has been with Raintree Animal Hospital ever since. During her free time, she serves on a local board for developing a wildlife rehabilitation facility that aims to serve Northern Colorado. When not volunteering or working, Madison likes to spend time with Colton and their hound, Max, exploring Colorado's splendors from hunting, camping, and canoeing, to craft brews and unique cuisine. On days at home, she likes to cuddle up with a sketch book.
